A New Start

for Trafficking Survivors

THE PROBLEM

As a Survivor, it is difficult to break out of the trafficking experience, as he or she continues to encounter obstacles in the pursuit of independence. Criminal and other adverse information provided in Background Checks and credit reports effectively block a trafficking Survivor's pathway to housing, employment and other fundamental services.

THE SOLUTION

New federal law has established a process to block the reporting of adverse information, thereby removing a significant barrier to financial stability and personal independence.

THE PROCESS

MinistrySafe and Abuse Prevention Systems, in coordination with The Net FW, have developed a process allowing trafficking Survivors to take advantage of the benefits and protections offered by Section 605C of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Below, you’ll find written and video instruction, sample forms, and more.

MinistrySafe and Abuse Prevention Systems are not able to offer services directly to trafficking Survivors, and are not legally permitted to sign forms provided by a Survivor or Non-Governmental Organization.
