Use of Personally Identifiable Information
MinistrySafe will not disclose your Personally Identifiable Information to a third party, except in accordance with applicable state or federal law.
Typically, MinistrySafe will disclose Personally Identifiable Information regarding the subject of a Background Check to a third-party in the following circumstances only:
- To an employer or prospective employer which has been authorized in writing by the consumer to receive information about the consumer for employment purposes;
- To a volunteer organization authorized in writing by the consumer to receive information about the consumer for purposes of determining whether the consumer will be eligible for certain volunteer opportunities;
- As otherwise required by law.
End-users (e.g., employers and prospective employers) may obtain information from MinistrySafe only after the end-user/employer has certified a legally permissible purpose for receiving such information.
When MinistrySafe transfers Personally Identifiable Information to a representative or third-party subcontractor assisting with a Background Check, MinistrySafe provides only the information required to assist with the Background Check. MinistrySafe prohibits third-party representatives and subcontractors from using consumer information for any purpose other than assisting MinistrySafe with the Background Check. As well, MinistrySafe contractually requires third-party representatives and subcontractors to maintain commercially-reasonable measures to protect the confidentiality of any consumer information received.
MinistrySafe does not resell any data provided to us for marketing purposes under any circumstances.
How To Access, Correct, And Change Personally Identifiable Information

Such transfers may occur only if necessary to complete an international Background Check (e.g., conducting an international criminal check or verifying educational or employment records outside of the U.S.).
